Rob and Julie crossed paths at a wedding many moons ago, and boy had his dang heart set on her. Julie is the kind of girl who’s so pretty you kind of don’t want to look straight at her because it makes you feel a little shy, but her personality is the equivalent of a shooken-up bottle of champagne: not an ounce of pretense or anything that isn’t just joyful love for the world. So duh, Rob was in lurrrrve from Minute One, while Julie was out doing other things and gallivanting and being gorgeous and kind. But he had his eye on the prize.
And finally, years later, she flew up to Seattle for their first official date: straight from SeaTac to drinks at Westward, a shadowy place to start a new love story overlooking the shores of Lake Union.
It’s only normal that we’d start their engagement shoot at the very spot where they first began, but adding an escape route to a roped-off construction zone and quiet moments under the Fremont Bridge are a bit more their speed. It’s amazing how great people can change your whole energy— these two are pure goodness to the core. Julie and Rob, we kind of feel love-at-first-sight-esque about you guys too, hope that’s okay.
