If you’re going to careen across the state for a wedding, dear Lord let it be for the world’s chillest couple in the mellow little town where Ray Lamontagne sold his coat. Spokane has the perfect mix of quirky hotels (Kate and Rob’s first look was in the bar at the Historic Davenport— why doesn’t every hotel have a life size golden rhino in the lobby, WHY) and rundown alleys— little hidden places to create some wabi-sabi portraits, run through traffic to create a gif or two, re-fall in love with the low-key wild west feeling our Washington towns have in spades.
We shot Kate and Rob’s engagement photos in NYC last year, but whether in the Big Apple or her far more low-key hometown, I’m just happy being around these two and left eastern Washington like I leave so many of our weddings— wishing we could do it all over again, but slower.

Literally how you’re supposed to see your Person for the first time. Or weep openly. Pick one.
Just some historic hotel shiz, don’t mind us.
This is my favorite wedding guest in all of history and she is currently yelling “THE PHOTOGRAPHER LOOKS LIKE KRISTEN WIIG! I met Fortune Feimster this morning and I’m more excited about meeting YOU.” Brb dying.
