The last time we showed you a peek at Emma and Amberly, it was the Thursday before their wedding, they had just gotten off the plane from Atlanta, and we were taking tequila shots together in Georgetown. Emma hadn’t fully assembled her wedding outfit, they had a bunch of loose ends to pull together, but the main thing for the weekend was in place: they were gonna be maaaarrrieeeeed.
Fast forward three days and it’s 5 am on Sunday morning. Emma’s since located a bomb red silk skirt, their nearest and most early-hours dearest are assembled at the base of Rattlesnake, shivering in the dew and watching these two sweet hearted brides say their vows.
Then this pack of hardy souls made their way up the mountain together to celebrate the first rays of light on this brand spankin new marriage.
*brief nap interlude because 5 am hikes are tough on the ol’ bods, no matter how giddy you are to be married*
The wedding day then shifted to Amberly’s family— ranch? event space? Home is too small a word, event space is too impersonal, farm is too farmy… but we ended up on a sprawling property, ending the wedding festivities with a thoughtful and unpretentious evening of dancing and pizza eating and cornhole playing and sunset walks with our girls as they wrapped up their wedding weekend in the good light.
Em and Am, thanks for letting us tag along to pretty much every moment of your PNW wedding and for your endless creative energy. If you ever need a break from the Atlanta heat our guest room is open.
Also if there’s something funnier than Amberly asking us to set this gif shot up, I’d like to hear what it is:
